The Limited Tall launched their tall line about two years ago. I always loved The Limited for solid career clothing so when they launched their Tall line I was ecstatic. I was browsing the Tall section and came across this Tall Soft Trench Look Dress.
The trench dress has been a fashion trend I have been following for a few years so I was pretty happy to see a Tall version of this dress offered. The sleeveless dress features an oversized shawl collar and a tie belt for a defined waist. The dress is made of a crepe fabric which reads much more expensive than its very reasonable price tag. The dress was fully lined making it appropriate for work. Even though the dress is Tall it still hit me a few inches above the knee so women taller than 6 feet should be wary of the length.
I paired the dress with the Nine West Lieluh heels. I stumbled on the Lieluhheels in the Nine West store and instantly fell in love. They originally came up to a size 12 but these babies sold out immediately! I stalked the website for about twice a day until a size 10.5 appeared. I purchased that bad boy immediately because I knew I wasn’t the only one stalking this heel. The Lieluhheel features a multi-color pop art print. The toe strap features a braided pattern and the center strap is a unique black and white windowpane print. This shoe is so dope and I’m glad I was able to snag a pair before they sold out.
Here are a few other trench dress options to achieve the look.
I am totally loving the nude / neutral palette that the Kardashians have been rocking lately. Kylie and Kim definitely seem to have an affinity towards the hue and I can’t blame them. It goes with most skin tones and seasons.
Below is a tall women clothing friendly option for Nude / Neutral Tones.
I finally made it out of the house this weekend after having a sickly week. My precious summer weather has moved swiftly to Fall as the temperatures dipped to the 60s. Guess that means Sweater time! I used this opportunity to break out the Altuzarra for Target Crane Embroidery Sweater I purchased a few weeks ago. The sweater features intricate crane embroidered details at the shoulders.
This Saturday called for brunch on U Street. While on out way to the restaurant we passed by the African American Civil War Memorial.
I had to stop and admire The Spirit of Freedom monument.
I wore a light beige Forever 21 blazer which had a hint of pink in it. Although Forever 21 does not have a Tall section, I often find that their blazers with a length of 30 inches work well on my tall frame. The 3/4 sleeves meant that I didnt have to worry about the sleeve length being too short as it often is with blazers not catered to tall women. #tallgirlproblems smh
Under the blazer, I wore a simple basic knit camisole also from Forever 21. I paired these with Alloy Piper’s Closet Jeans in 37″ inseam.
I chose a Nine West Rose Gold Mid heel which complemented the hint of pink in the blazer nicely.
Finally, I finished the outfit with a Rose Gold watch, bangle and ring
