Off the off the shoulder trend has been in heavy rotation for the Spring season and has been seen on celebrities and bloggers alike. I’ve always been fond of this trend and have a collection of off the shoulder blouses I’ve collected over the years.
I remember when I was younger joking that my shoulders were so broad I could play football. Truth be told I loved my broad shoulders. They complimented my collar bones and i always looked graceful in an off the shoulder neckline
The black and white stripe pattern in this blouse was too adorable. I also loved the billowy balloon sleeves on the blouse which fit my arm length perfectly. I wanted to keep my palette neutral so I paired the blouse with the Long Tall Sally Allegro Skinny Pants I snagged during their sale.
I wanted to add a hint of color to the outfit so I paired the look with neon yellow trim chevron heels I bought from Aldo during their sale last year. Aldo has amazing heels in sizes 11 and under and I’m always stalking the site for a good deal. Maybe it’s the Caribbean in me but I always try to incorporate color into an outfit.
I’m definitely making off shoulder blouses a DIY project. They are so easy to make!
I purchased this Open Back Shift Dress from ASOS several months ago. I actually purchased the dress from the regular sized section and was fully aware that it would be short. I loved the blush color against my skin tone. I paired the dress with nude strappy heels.
Us tall women are blessed with gorgeous long legs that most women would kill for. I say if you got ’em flaunt ’em.
I love kimonos. They are such an easy way to dress up a basic tee. I mostly love kimonos because they are usually made longer which for us tall ladies is fantastic. With the addition of a belt, you can create a cute blouse that doesn’t look like you borrowed your little sister’s shirt.
I paired the H&M Kimono with a simple black belt, light blue denim from Alloy and blue mirrored sunglasses. I added the Sole Society Portia Caged Heels in Navy to complete the outfit. These gorgeous beauties are available in up to Size 12!
I am sooo enjoying this gorgeous post summer weather. It was 70 degrees and simply gorgeous for my brunch outing in Georgetown. I decided to ignore that silly “no white after Labor Day” rule (seriously, who still follows that nonsense?) and break out my Alloy Santana High Waist Skinny White Jeans.
