Hey guys. It’s been a long time and a crazy year! 2016, what can I say … You’ll definitely be a year that stands out in our history books. Thankfully there’s retail therapy to get my mind off things and Long Tall Sally’s CURATDline came right on time.
Expertly designed in-house with stunning silhouettes and textural fabrics, the CURATD X LTS collection offers stylish, high-end pieces specifically cut and perfectly proportioned for women who are 5’8’’and taller. This limited edition collection curates the season’s inspirational catwalk trends into one exquisite edit.
The Curatd X LTS is centered around around a dusky color palette that is ideal for the Fall and Winter! The collection features soft tulip prints, feminine cuts and subtle detailing. One piece that caught my eye was the Tall CURATD Dusky Tulip Playsuit Maxi.
CURATD. gives another trend-led dimension to the offer at Long Tall Sally. It’s the ultimate tall style statement: a collection that celebrates strong, contemporary women and further reinforces Long Tall Sally as the destination for fashion for tall women.” – Andrew Shapin, Long Tall Sally CEO
The Tall CURATD Dusky Tulip Playsuit Maxifeatures a printed dusky tulip print with a plunging V neckline. The body is fully lined with semi-sheer Georgette sleeves. While the fabric is sheer, the full body lining adds an extra layer of warmth for the cooler temperatures of Fall. The romper features a flowing maxi skirt that adds just the right amount of drama to your outfit.
The neckline is very deep so I would suggest wearing a plunge bra with the romper or wearing a cute lace v neck cami if you need a bit of coverage on top. The romper shorts were the perfect length for my 6 foot tall frame and allowed me to showcase my legs without feeling uncomfortable. The maxi skirt also added a bit of modesty to the romper for those ladies that like to give a bit of sex appeal without doing too much.
I paired the romper with strappy oxblood heels to add a pop of color to the outfit. I also thought about pairing the playsuit with over the knee boots as the temperatures begin to drop. I definitely will be wearing this romper quite a bit for Fall. The floral pattern and weight of the fabric also makes this piece perfect for the cooler temperatures in Spring! This is definitely a multi season piece – two seasons in one outfit!
I am truly loving this new Curatd X LTSline!! I’ve been patiently waiting for Long Tall Sally to give us tall fashionistas edgier pieces and they certainly delivered with Curatd!

I’m back from my summer hiatus to feature this killer dress from TTYA London‘s new line!
London-based former model and fashion stylist Irene Agbontaen created TTYA London (Taller Than Your Average) – an apparel brand offering accessible, modern, functional pieces that are specifically cut for women who are 5’9” or taller, as well-fitting staple pieces that are the foundation to effortless style, whatever your height or size.
Since its inception in 2013, TTYA London has garnered a cult following including celebs such as Jourdan, Karlie Kloss, Elle Macpherson, Jessie J, Daisy Lowe and Wendy Williams as the go to fashion label for tall girls!
The dress featured is called the Atlanta Dress and it’s a perfect fit for us long legged tall ladies!
The dress features a fitted sweetheart dress that hugs your curves in all the right places. I was very impressed with the quality of the internal dress as it was well structured and featured a thick material that hid any imperfections.
The internal dress was then layered with a mesh knit fabric that is reminiscent of the 80’s vibe that has been featured on countless runways recently.
The sleeves of this dress fit well over my wrists!! Tall Girl score!!!
Now most midi dresses fit me right at the knee but this dress has been tailored just for us tall girls! At 6 feet tall this dress hits me mid calf – right where midi dresses should fit.
TTYA is one tall brand that I always anxiously anticipate their collection and as usual they delivered us tall women fresh and fierce fashion.
The dress was shot at Jos A Magnus & Coa local DC bourbon distillery which is perfect for date night with that special someone or just a damn cool spot to vibe with friends.
The shirtdress was made of a light grey and white stripe fabric which was the perfect weight for summer. The dress also featured a classic collar neckline with a T strap back that added such a cute detail. Head over t New York and Company to score the New York and Company Bar Back Stripe Shirtdresswhich is currently on sale!
I’ve been in love with the off shoulder trend and have been collecting various pieces. I saw this ruffle off shoulder dress in a brilliant green color and had to grab it. I decided to pair the green off shoulder dress with red heels.
The green dress featured a doubled tiered ruffle layer that added a flirty touch to the dress. While this dress isn’t tall specific it hit me mid thigh and well it’s summer so why not show some leg.
Of course I needed a bright color to match the brilliance of the dress so I opted for the Sheikh Shoes red fringe heel I purchased earlier this year.
I decided to dress up for The Meet Your Tall Sisters Brunch hosted by Tall Society. On my way home I drove by this awesome mural near Union Market that read Follow Your Heart.
What a fitting quote. I’ve been struggling with doing such a thing as of late and I’m finally making moves towards doing just that.
I’ve had this ankara skirt by Chez Kevito for 2 years. I snagged the last of this fabric when I realized it was the same used by Stella Jean in an ankara skirt for her collection. The skirt Chez Kevito made is a dead ringer for the Stella Jeans sans the red trim.
The Limited Tall launched their tall line about two years ago. I always loved The Limited for solid career clothing so when they launched their Tall line I was ecstatic. I was browsing the Tall section and came across this Tall Soft Trench Look Dress.
The trench dress has been a fashion trend I have been following for a few years so I was pretty happy to see a Tall version of this dress offered. The sleeveless dress features an oversized shawl collar and a tie belt for a defined waist. The dress is made of a crepe fabric which reads much more expensive than its very reasonable price tag. The dress was fully lined making it appropriate for work. Even though the dress is Tall it still hit me a few inches above the knee so women taller than 6 feet should be wary of the length.
I paired the dress with the Nine West Lieluh heels. I stumbled on the Lieluhheels in the Nine West store and instantly fell in love. They originally came up to a size 12 but these babies sold out immediately! I stalked the website for about twice a day until a size 10.5 appeared. I purchased that bad boy immediately because I knew I wasn’t the only one stalking this heel. The Lieluhheel features a multi-color pop art print. The toe strap features a braided pattern and the center strap is a unique black and white windowpane print. This shoe is so dope and I’m glad I was able to snag a pair before they sold out.
Here are a few other trench dress options to achieve the look.
