TTYA – short for – TALLER THAN YOUR AVERAGE is a London based brand started by fellow tall fashionista and former fashion stylist, Irene Agbontaen who stands at 5’11”.
Irene decided to start her own brand dedicated to tall women; no more would she have to roll up sleeves on her tops or wear men’s sizes.
The TTYA collaboration with Long Tall Sally (TTYA4LTS) brought a breath of fresh air to the Long Tall Sally brand and I fell in love with each and every piece.
The line featured sexy metallic rose gold , rich black and winter white hues. The fabrics ranged from luxe satin, leathers, scuba and fur all in heavenly longer lengths for us tall ladies.
My unhealthy obsession of rose gold drew me to the metallic cami and skirt and I was NOT disappointed. I paired the outfit with rose gold heels (similar hereand here) and my Vince Camuto Rose Gold Clutch (similar here)
This Saturday called for brunch on U Street. While on out way to the restaurant we passed by the African American Civil War Memorial.
I had to stop and admire The Spirit of Freedom monument.
I wore a light beige Forever 21 blazer which had a hint of pink in it. Although Forever 21 does not have a Tall section, I often find that their blazers with a length of 30 inches work well on my tall frame. The 3/4 sleeves meant that I didnt have to worry about the sleeve length being too short as it often is with blazers not catered to tall women. #tallgirlproblems smh
Under the blazer, I wore a simple basic knit camisole also from Forever 21. I paired these with Alloy Piper’s Closet Jeans in 37″ inseam.
I chose a Nine West Rose Gold Mid heel which complemented the hint of pink in the blazer nicely.
Finally, I finished the outfit with a Rose Gold watch, bangle and ring
