Off the off the shoulder trend has been in heavy rotation for the Spring season and has been seen on celebrities and bloggers alike. I’ve always been fond of this trend and have a collection of off the shoulder blouses I’ve collected over the years.
I remember when I was younger joking that my shoulders were so broad I could play football. Truth be told I loved my broad shoulders. They complimented my collar bones and i always looked graceful in an off the shoulder neckline
The black and white stripe pattern in this blouse was too adorable. I also loved the billowy balloon sleeves on the blouse which fit my arm length perfectly. I wanted to keep my palette neutral so I paired the blouse with the Long Tall Sally Allegro Skinny Pants I snagged during their sale.
I wanted to add a hint of color to the outfit so I paired the look with neon yellow trim chevron heels I bought from Aldo during their sale last year. Aldo has amazing heels in sizes 11 and under and I’m always stalking the site for a good deal. Maybe it’s the Caribbean in me but I always try to incorporate color into an outfit.
I’m definitely making off shoulder blouses a DIY project. They are so easy to make!
The tunic features a wrap front with a curved hemline and is very generous in length to allow for skinny jeans or leggings.. The cut is extremely forgiving and is perfect for the office or a casual date night. I loved the 3/4 sleeves and the buttoned neckline with peephole was a cute finishing detail to the blouse.
I needed to balance out the fullness of the top with a fitted skinny pants. I wanted to add a pop of color so I paired it with the Supersoft Legging Jeans in Chestnut. The Chestnut color was a bit closer to an oxblood color which I adore for Fall!
When they call these jeans supersoft they weren’t kidding. The jeans were soft to the touch and fit. They had plenty of stretch in the waist and legs but still managed to maintain their shape. Trust me, I loved these jeans so much I wore them 3 times in one week and they didn’t lose their shape.
#dearSally, the holiday season is upon us and I have ample holiday parties to attend. Thank you so much for making it easier for us tall women to find stylish fashion for the fesitvus.
When viewing the holiday items available at Long Tall Sally, fashion icons Kate Moss and Zoe Kravitz came to mind. These beauties serve effortless boho chic even when attending formal events. Long Tall Sally’s holiday fashion allowed me to recreate two of my favorite looks from these fashionistas.
Below are a few the key pieces every tall woman should own this season to make a statement entrance to any holiday engagement.
