The Limited Tall launched their tall line about two years ago. I always loved The Limited for solid career clothing so when they launched their Tall line I was ecstatic. I was browsing the Tall section and came across this Tall Soft Trench Look Dress.
The trench dress has been a fashion trend I have been following for a few years so I was pretty happy to see a Tall version of this dress offered. The sleeveless dress features an oversized shawl collar and a tie belt for a defined waist. The dress is made of a crepe fabric which reads much more expensive than its very reasonable price tag. The dress was fully lined making it appropriate for work. Even though the dress is Tall it still hit me a few inches above the knee so women taller than 6 feet should be wary of the length.
I paired the dress with the Nine West Lieluh heels. I stumbled on the Lieluhheels in the Nine West store and instantly fell in love. They originally came up to a size 12 but these babies sold out immediately! I stalked the website for about twice a day until a size 10.5 appeared. I purchased that bad boy immediately because I knew I wasn’t the only one stalking this heel. The Lieluhheel features a multi-color pop art print. The toe strap features a braided pattern and the center strap is a unique black and white windowpane print. This shoe is so dope and I’m glad I was able to snag a pair before they sold out.
Here are a few other trench dress options to achieve the look.
I purchased this Loft Tall Jumpsuit months ago but I was waiting for the temperatures to drop before I wore it.
The khaki / army color is one of those colors that works year round but especially during the fall season .The length was perfect and hit right above my ankle. The jumpsuit originally came with a black and white belt which I switched out to coordinate with my heels and handbag.
I paired the khaki color with burnt orange strappy heels and a matching burnt orange woven handbag by Cole Haan.
The jumpsuit is now sold out but similar tall jumpsuits for tall women are available. Here are two of my favorite looks.
A few weeks ago I had the awesome opportunity to model for a new clothing store for us tall women and tall girls – THE HEIGHT !
THE HEIGHT was the brainchild of Kia, a 5’10” stunner and former basketball player, who created THE HEIGHT out of a love for fashion and the need to bring a chic, contemporary, classic, urban and trendy clothing store to tall women.
Tall women are so accustomed to paying more than they should for clothing. We have made a pledge to tall women that the price of our garments will go hand in hand with the design, fabric and construction quality. Some pieces will be priced lower and some higher but we will always price our garments fairly. – THE HEIGHT
I am so excited to have a tall brand that is designing fashionable clothing at more than reasonable prices! Seriously, stylish jumpsuits and maxi dresses for tall women under $50?!?!? Tall Girl Heaven !!!
The price points for clothing at THE HEIGHT is currently $28 – $48 which is an absolute steal. In speaking with Kia, I know thatThe HEIGHT has a pulse on trends and will be catering to the most fashionable tall chick.
I modeled the THE HEIGHT Black Laci Maxi Dress which swept the floor as I walked in 4 inch heels!! My 6 foot self was ecstatic! The Dress can be dressed up with a statement necklace as I did in the first shot, or worn plain for a more causal urban look.
I purchased this Open Back Shift Dress from ASOS several months ago. I actually purchased the dress from the regular sized section and was fully aware that it would be short. I loved the blush color against my skin tone. I paired the dress with nude strappy heels.
Us tall women are blessed with gorgeous long legs that most women would kill for. I say if you got ’em flaunt ’em.
