Tell us about yourself?

I’m 23 years old from Las Vegas,NV. I’ve been modeling for 7 years; Im also a licensed cosmetologist where I’ve worked on video and fashion show sets doing hair and make up. My passion for fashion quickly emerged from doing the hair to doing the fashion styling for events.

I’ve always wanted to open up my own clothing boutique since as long as I could remember and this year I launched my first website. It showcases my styling skills and every outfit I post is available for purchase at a reasonable prices.Being a stylist has connected me to designers in the industry where I was able to see exactly what type of clothing I wanted to sell to my customers. I’ve always loved water but also loved going out and dressing up, so Bikinis and Dresses are my forte . My style is a mix between City Chic and Eccentric Bohemian, I either where all black or bright vibrant colors.

What fashion or beauty tips can you provide to other tall women?

The number one tip I can provide other Tall Women is advice my Mom has always told me… “Stand Up Straight!”

Growing up tall I had a tendency to slouch when I was hanging out with my shorter friends. I hated it when my mom would point it out in front of people, I didn’t see a issue. Looking back now I’m grateful she was always on me about standing up straight it shows confidence and looks attractive to be tall and proud. Also for fashion advice, Don’t Settle with what your department store has to offer search online for places that carry longer inseams high waters don’t look attractive on anyone especially tall women. Search for the perfect fit ,you will find it!

What life advice would you give to tall girls, teens and women out there?

Tall Women everywhere girls, teens, and women. Don’t let others tell you anything about your height. You’re too Tall for this or that. People who say negative comments on your height are insecure themselves. Everything will flow naturally finding the right clothing, finding a love interest who doesn’t comment on your height just sees how beautiful you are. Everything you want you can achieve once you own your height and love yourself. You where meant to stand out so be great and Stand up straight!

Tall Fashionista of the Week If The Shoe Fits You

Tell us about yourself?

I’m a transplant from Houston, Texas. I moved to New York because I followed my heart. Not a guy, God no. But, I came here for shoes. I design shoes for women with extended-size feet. It has always been a challenge of mine to find shoes in my size, 11. I finally became fed up and decided to make my own shoes. After interviewing women for years about what they wanted, I realized women with extended-size feet just want to feel empowered too. We want a shoe closet filled with glamorous shoes.

 If The Shoe Fits You

Describe your fashion style?

My style comes in layers. I would have to say the root of all my style is business casual. Then, I merchandise with vintage clothing. So, my style is business bohemian chic.

What fashion or beauty tips can you provide to other tall women?

As far as fashion is concerned it’s perfectly o.k. to flood your pants as long as you have amazing footwear. A beauty tip for tall women would be to show off your neck. It’s erotic and can easily be enhanced with a collarbone necklace. Also, drink plenty of water. You will look refreshed and flawless.

What advice would you give to tall girls, teens and women out there?

It was a challenge growing up tall. I was 5’9 in the ninth grade with size 11 feet. I would advise young girls to compliment yourself and others as much as possible. If you recognize your beauty and love yourself, then you will be able to appreciate and love what makes others different and in turn give a kind of universal love. This love is not judgmental. This love is not demeaning or condescending. It is one. Real self-love, which encourages healthy self-esteem is what demolishes low self-esteem. So, give lot and lots of compliments to yourself and the one around you.

Tall Fashionista of the Week – Krystle

The Tall Muse welcomes back the Tall Fashionista of the Week which showcases the personal style of tall fashion forward women who are 5’9 and up.

I am so excited to introduce our first Tall Fashionista of 2015!

I met this lovely tall fashionista at The Long Tall Sally popup shop here in Washington DC. I was struck by her beauty and vivacious personality – this girl is a serious tall bombshell! Not to mention that she was there with her equally as gorgeous and tall sister and mother! I mean seriously – an entire tall bombshell family 🙂

So with no further introduction- meet our Tall Fashionista of the Week – Krystle.

 What is your height?

I am 6 feet tall!

Tell us about yourself?

Being raised by a fashionista, also known as my Mother, truly contributes to that fashion style that I have today. As most little girls, I grew up watching my Mother get dressed for particular events. I loved seeing her accessorize and overall transform into a new look. I still borrow clothes and accessories from her to this day!

Tall Fashionista Tuesdays 4

Describe your fashion style?

I would currently describe my style as urban chic because I love to pair urban pieces such as leather jackets with chic workplace clothing such as a knee-length pencil dresses. This style pairs well with me because at work, I dress chic and on the weekends I can let loose and have fun with urban pieces. I am also obsessed with accessorizing. My latest obsession includes statement necklaces and earrings since I recently did the big chop! I feel like its the perfect way to shape my face. I also find statement necklaces to be a simple way to transform an outfit from blah to VA-VOOM!

The Tall Muse

What are your favorite places to shop?

I am actually in love with Target! I always find quality clothing for reasonable prices. I am a TJ Maxx and Marshalls fashionista as well. I oftentimes purchase jeans or maxi dress from Alloy because they offer clothing in extended sizes. Long Tall Sally is a great location for quality clothing as well; I find their clothing to be current and complimentary for tall women of all sizes.

Tall Fashionista Tuesdays

What fashion or beauty tips can you provide to other tall women?

I actually tend to shop in the Maternity section at Target quite often. This works because the dress lengths and sleeve lengths are proportional to tall women. When I do this, I purchase a size or two smaller which makes me feel like my exercise has been paying off- double win!

I also purchase regular jeans but wear them cropped and when jacket sleeves do not fit, I roll them up like that of Dorothy from the Golden Girls. I call this the Dorothy trick. Besides, it makes me look somewhat cool!

What advice would you give to tall girls, teens and women out there?

I would like to advise every tall female to embrace who they are! Growing up, I hated being tall and lacked confidence. I wore ugly kitten heels and flats that were far from flattering because I did not want to be taller. Then one day I shifted my thinking and realized that I needed to cut the crap and grow up; literally and figuratively. I started wearing heels and like that of my height, my confidence truly grew. Now, I wear heels whenever I possibly can without remorse. Own being tall because you are worth it!
